Wikipedia describes A cèilidh (Scottish Gaelic pronunciation: [ˈkʲʰeːli]) as a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering. In its most basic form, it simply means a social visit. In contemporary usage, it usually involves playing Gaelic folk music and dancing, either at a house party or a larger concert at a social hall or other community gathering place.  St. Andrews members will describe this as a fun filled evening for the whole family of food, dancing and general fun.

The Frederick Scottish Country Dancers will be there to lead us in instruction on how to participate so no fear of having to just figure out the dances.

Next Committee meeting will be Tuesday August 29th at the Panera in North Frederick on Rt. 26 at 6pm.  Current committee:  Meaghan Reinhardt, Chair – Jackie Parker, Valerie Hill, Celia Kirby, Dawn Fernald-Spruill.  Feel free to drop by at our next meeting to help with the planning.
